"There is an incredible amount to say about mushrooms and the role they play in nature, such as the delicate collaboration with trees. When I wander through nature, I am aware with every step I take of the richness beneath my feet, and above all, I am fascinated by the wondrous forms that come and go.
It is especially the shapes that evoke doubts and associations where my gaze lingers. Mushrooms often appear very masculine, although some cup fungi and puffballs also have something feminine about them. Corals grow in the sea, but there are also mushrooms that look just like them. This brings me into a world that is omnimorphic, where hierarchy and separateness are strange elements.
My observations, combined with a magical experience, find their way into my visual work that exists somewhere between reality and the fairy-tale world. Here, doubts and mysteries are allowed to exist."
