Cloud Ceremonial Matcha Powder

1. Subscription Basics

• How does our matcha subscription work? Choose your matcha bag size (either 40 or 100g), select your preferred delivery frequency (every 2 weeks or every month) and the quantity (so how many bags you want to receive at each delivery). Once you set those preferences and placed your order, we will make sure to ship your matcha accordingly. 

2. Payment & Billing 

• When will I be charged? When subscribing to our matcha powder, you will directly pay for your first delivery. Then your card will be charged on the same date of each renewal cycle based on your selected frequency.   (For example, if you selected a bi-weekly frequency for one 100g matcha bag, 63,75€ will be automatically taken from your bank account every two weeks starting the day you initiated your subscription plan).

• What payment methods do you accept? We accept Visa, Mastercard, Maestro and American Express. Unfortunately IDEAL is not available for our subscriptions, as they require automatic charge.

3. Managing Your Subscription

• How do i access my account settings? Go to our website’s homepage, click on the profile logo, enter your email address, then enter the 6-digits code you received on this address, and you should be logged in. Anytime you want to access your account settings, you will have to repeat the same procedure. You can change your personal information under the “profile” section.

• Can i skip or pause my subscription. Our platform doesn’t allow skipping a delivery. However, you can pause your subscription and resume it anytime, under the “subscription management” section in your profile page.

4. Cancellation & Refunds

• Can I cancel my subscription anytime? Subscriptions to our matcha powder entails a 2 months minimum period until cancellation is available. After those two months, you can log in to your account (see 3. Managing your subscription), go to “subscription management”, select the desired one, click on “cancel subscription” and confirm. 

• Is it possible to return my matcha bag? We generally do not offer returns for our matcha powder. However, feel free to contact our customer support at hello@cloudamsterdam.com if you encounter any issues, we might be able to sort things out for you.

5. Shipping & Delivery

• When will my order be shipped? After the order is placed, you can count 1 to 2 days max before shipping. You will receive a confirmation email with your tracking number when your package is on the way.
• Do you offer international shipping? Yes! Additional shipping fees and customs duties may apply. All necessary information should appear at check-out.

Iced Matcha Cloud Special (because we don't like to gatekeep)

• fill a 450ml glass with ice (stop slightly before the top)
• pour half of the glass with oat milk (our go-to is ROA)
• extract your favorite shot of espresso
• in a separate container, mix 1 generous teaspoon of cacao powder with a drizzle of agave syrup, and the espresso shot, and add them to the glass
• pour the other half of the glass with coconut milk (for us it's always Rude Health)
• then, carefully whisk 4g of our Ceremonial matcha, and pour it into the glass
• don't forget to impress your mother, your friends or us with your best pictures
• and enjoy this exquisite drink in the comfort of your home

Care:

Quality products require quality treatment, so here are a few tips on how to take care of your Ceremonial matcha:

• Matcha powder is sensitive to light and temperature, so store it somewhere cool (preferably in your fridge), and in a container protecting it from direct sunlight.
• To prevent your matcha from being oxidised and so loosing its flavour, opt for an air-tight container.
• Avoid any contact with moisture. Make sure your spoon is dry when you prepare your favorite drink.
• Once opened, consume it within 1 to 2 months for optimal taste and consistency. Refer to the expiration date on the bag if it is unopened.

Preparation:

• First, sift your desired quantity of matcha into a whisking bowl. For reference, we use 2g to prepare a warm matcha latte in our 350 mL ceramic, and 4g to prepare an iced matcha latte in our 450 mL cup.
• heat some water to 45°C and pour 30-50 mL (roughly 1/4 of a cup) over the matcha powder.
• carefully circle your whisk around the preparation to make sure all the powder falls into the water, then start energetically whisking in a W shape, until you reach that smooth silky consistency.
• Little tip is to whisk slightly above the bottom of the bowl at the end to get rid of bubbles and obtain optimal consistency.
• Then your matcha shot is ready to be poured into iced milk, or to serve as a canvas to perform your best latte art!
